As young people, we tend to get carried away with all the new experiences that are coming our way and we forget how important it is to include God in our everyday lives. There is something special about being able to bond with other Catholics in our university and also grow closer to our faith.
To kick off the second semester of the year, we celebrated Mass together followed by some icebreaker games to get to know everyone. It was great to see our old members back and even better to see new members joining us!
For most of us, we come from overseas and don’t exactly have family around, so the club has sort of became our little family and support group. It’s also a great way to take a break from the stresses of university life.
It is great to see young people join our sessions, especially with their busy schedules. Our sessions range from having a discernment talk to praying the Rosary while you work out, and we have plenty more planned for this semester. For the club, we want it to be a place where we not only learn about God but also about ourselves.
