Curtin Catholic Community – A new group at Curtin University

Curtin University has announced the commencement of a new Chaplain and Curtin Catholic Community (CCC) on campus.

The students have begun a new group that are seeking new members to grow & contribute to activities on campus for young Catholics. The initial committee has commenced meeting and planning, they welcome any new ideas or suggestions of services or activities that students would like on campus.

The President for the club is Kudzai Kevin Kwaramba, Vice-President is Zebelene Wates, the secretary is Immaculate Materu, general members include Sebastian Michael and Jermaine Beins and the group is supported also by the chaplain Fr Chris Alambe. There is a growing group of Catholic students who are also joining the committee and the club.

On Club Carnival day the ‘Curtin Catholic Community’ was joined by CYM staff to bring awareness to the students that the new group existed on campus. A great response came from students on campus who were excited to hear about the new chaplain, mass times and the new group. Reuben De Melo was a great support by busking next to the CCC stall and provided great entertainment and interest from students passing by.

Here is some information about the chaplaincy services being provided on Campus. Also contact the CCC for ideas about other activities for students on campus.
