JOIN CYM RUN (OR WALK) AT CITY TO SURF THIS AUGUST
Catholic Youth Ministry is organising a team in this year’s City to Surf on Sunday, 30 August to help raise funds for Caritas.
We are taking Caritas Ks – Kilometres for Compassion to the streets, raising money and awareness for the millions of vulnerable people that have to cover countless kilometres every day just to survive.
Hawa brings water home from the village well in Geles, an Arab village in Darfur where ACT-Caritas has provided wells and a variety of other services. While the ACT-Caritas Darfur Emergency Response Operation is focused primarily on responding to the needs of Darfur’s internally displaced people, it also is helping Arab villages, many of them host communities, as a contribution toward reconciliation and peace.
Support this worthy cause by joining Eliza, Kim, Vincent and other young Catholics in either the 4km or 12km walk or run.
All you need to do is join the Catholic Youth Ministry team when you register for the City to Surf. Once you’ve registered, tell everyone you are taking part in Caritas Ks and encourage them to donate online. We are aiming to raise at least $500 for Caritas!
If City to Surf is not up your alley, don’t worry – you can still show your support by making a donation online.
Thanks for your support! Come down, cheer us on and celebrate with lunch after!
