SUBIACO YOUTH READY FOR 2016

St Joseph’s Subiaco launched their youth ministry for 2016 with a youth gathering. Youth Leader Paul Curtis shared the vision and plans for the year.

Before looking forward, the group first looked back at what youth ministry has looked like in the parish in the past year.

A short video was released which highlighted the different aspects of youth ministry in the parish (here is a link https://www.facebook.com/stjosephssubiacoyouth/videos/542765105885208/ ).

Paul then presented his plan to start a teen’s group. The first step towards this emerging youth group is a strong core team. The core team will be young adults who can mentor and pass on their gift of faith to the younger youth of the parish.

Paul hopes to inspire others to give to God by serving the youth of the parish. “God’s gift to us is life, what we do with it is our gift in return” says Paul who is passionate to serve the church and connect with the young people of his parish.

St Joseph’s Youth will kick off its teen’s group with a social night on Sunday, April 17at 7 PM – 9 PM. Providing the opportunity to get to know other young people in the area.

St Joseph’s parish will also attend events together, such as Ignite Youth Perth and the upcoming Veritas Youth Festival.

Through these events St Joseph’s Youth hopes to awaken and deepen the gift of faith in its young people.
