3 Reasons why young women should listen to Abiding Together podcast

written by Adeline Bock

As a Catholic woman, it’s difficult to walk our faith alone especially in this highly sexualized, materialistic and individualized society. In my role as a youth leader, it is also important for me to have role models who place their identity in Jesus Christ. Listening to Abiding Together Podcast helps me grow in my faith and inspire me to be a role model for young people in my youth group.

Here are my top 3 reasons why you should also listen to Abiding Together podcast:

1. Supportive friendship

It is a podcast run by 3 women, sharing their experiences of faith through their joys and challenges. They are always there to support each other. You will feel like they are your sisters supporting you too! It also serves as an encouragement for us all to support one another in the journey because no one can do it alone.

2. Profound Wisdom

There is so much wisdom being shared in this space. They do a weekly podcast and their topics are very relevant, I feel that I have learnt so much through their genuine sharing. Their topics range from healing, book reviews like Narnia and bible study.

3. Light-hearted humour

These women are although serious in their spiritual growth, they do it with humour. It reminds us that growing in faith can also be fun. Because our God also has a good sense of humour!

Abiding Together is a weekly podcast hosted by Sr. Miriam James Heidland, Heather Khym and Michelle Benzinger.
