I Believe!

Annually, Catholic Youth Ministry Perth hosts its Young Adults retreat at Eagles Nest. Last September 27-29, 24 young adults from multiple parishes across the Perth Archdiocese gathered in excitement and in awe from the top calibre speakers and topics  that were presented during the two and a half days of retreat.

With guest speakers such as Fr Giles Atherton, Sr Bernadette Pike, Lucas Hurley and the newly appointed head of Media and Communication of the Archdiocese, James Parker the participants were treated to some of the best presentations, humorous quotable quotes and quality formation.

The main theme of the retreat was Wonder and Belief which looked at breaking open the Nicene Creed to encourage the young adults to profess their faith with more conviction and to embrace their belief in God and the Catholic Church.

Other highlights were the Praise and Worship sessions led by newly formed music ministry of CYM, the delicious catering plus the adoration and the pray over session on the Saturday evening of the retreat.

Here are some amazing feedbacks from the participants:

“Learnt something new from each speaker to enhance, improve, re-educate, and recharge my faith!!!”

“The retreat met my expectations as I really learnt a lot about the Nicene Creed. Although the Nicene Creed is always recited every Sunday Mass, I really didn’t know that there is a deeper explanation and meaning behind it. But now I understand it and really need to know more about it”

“It was a good time for reflection”

“CYM retreats needs more publicity, more people needs to know about this”
