I recently started my ballroom/salsa dancing classes with some friends (way out of my comfort zone, but I’ve secretly always wanted to learn). We initially practiced the steps with our partners without music and then later with music. After the class, we all discussed how much we loved it, but also noted how much easier it was once there was music playing. Only later in the week did it strike me, that perhaps this experience was more than just a great Wednesday night.
As young people, we are beginner dancers, we forget the steps, we step out of sync from our friends, family etc. (i.e. our dance partners) and that’s part of life. As we get older, we get better, but still aren’t perfect. But as we bring God into our lives (i.e. As we practice dancing with music), our lives get easier. A simple message in the end, bring God into your life, invite him in, talk to him.
Psalms 34: 4-7
4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from all my fears.
5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face will grow bright, you willnever hang your head in shame.
6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.
7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.
