Willeton Youth, coming together to worship God.

Last December 2013, 26 young people from Willetton Parish accompanied by their parish priest attended the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in Melbourne. This was the biggest delegation from any Parish from the Archdiocese of Perth.

Today, youth ministry in Willetton Parish is still on fire for God and flourishing due to the dedication and hard work of their youth leadership Team. The name of the youth group is John Paul Youth Ministry or simply JPYM.

The team consists of brothers and Youth Leaders Kyle and Reyna Broheir, Warren Low as Event Organiser, Catherine Poon leading in the area of Hospitality, Aaron Yap, head of Choir and Sharna Gregson as their Spiritual Leader. With a solid team, and passionate in serving the youth and God, the group is set to bring young people closer to Christ and build a strong community in Willetton.

Reyna Broheir, youth leader said, “To me the greatest thing about a youth group is the family that is made from coming together for one reason, to worship God”

JPYM meets every third Saturday of the Month for a youth mass and formation, which consists of dinner, spiritual activities and some youth bonding games. They also have social events every first Sunday of the month where they go ice skating, bowling, picnic, etc.

JPYM can be contacted at jpymwilletton@gmail.com
